Lancome Maquicake UV Infinite
October 13th, 2008 10 Comments » » 1,326 viewsBeing a Lancome user, I was thrilled to be invited to a preview of Lancome’s latest product, Maquicake UV Infinite at the Lancome Beauty Institute in Bangsar Village II.

Lancome Beauty Institute, Bangsar Village II.
According to Lancome, Maquicake UV Infinite is a 2-way powder foundation that is incredibly soft with an airy texture, which provides a natural and flawless finish that lasts all day.

Lancome Maquicake UV Infinite.
We were treated to an enlightening session about makeup, skincare and Lancome Maquicake UV Infinite with renowned makeup artist, Mr. Zamri Zainol. He demonstrated to us the “Light as Air” experiment where Maquicake UV Infinite cake powder was crushed into tiny particles and stirred into water. But not before submerging the whole compact foundation into the water to showcase its anti-sweat properties. The foundation remain dry despite being underwater for more than 10 minutes. We were quite impressed by then.

Underwater.
As for the “Light as Air” experiment, due to its soft and lightweight texture, Maquicake UV Infinite floated on the water’s surface no matter how hard we tried to stir it in. Amazing!

Maquicake UV Infinite doesn’t stir in or combine with water.
Yesterday morning, after staying awake for 25 hours straight, I was going to take my pup for a walk but didn’t want to scare off my neighbours. The usual pressed/loose powder would not be able to conceal my dark circles/humongous eyebags and I was too lazy to whip out the concealer or put on my liquid foundation. Normally, I’d just try to avoid eye contact…
But I remembered the Lancome Maquicake UV Infinite and decided to try it for the first time.

Unprocessed picture straight from my phone with harsh Xenon flash. Not a single slick of makeup except for Lancome Maquicake UV Infinite.
My dark circles were pretty well concealed and they’re right – I could hardly feel anything on my skin.
I think this is the perfect 2-way foundation for lazy people like me. Hahaha.

Wow, that did look really good on you. And hey, I’m all for it if it won’t melt off my face in this stupid humidity! :/

wow that looks really good (referring to the last picture). i’m not really good with make-up as in, how to apply all the concealer, foundation and loose powder without looking like i had thick paste on my face. so usually i’ll just go bare-face.
now, i think i can use this as a substitute for all those? haha.

bee: but i always feel my money’s worth with lancome heh. they didn’t pay me to say that.
misSmall: i didn’t melt after some run/walk for 1/2 hour. it was early in the morning though so I should review it again after a stint in the afternoon.
jessica: i think the fool proof way is using harsh fluorescent light cause u can see everything and avoid piling the makeup on haha (hate hotels with nice amber light -_-). as for whether this could be a substitute for all…yes for me for everyday use but not for special occasions lor
