Astro B.yond Bloggers Night

Thank you Astro B.yond for a fantastic night! As I had twitted during the party, we hit the fun quota for 2010 in just one night.
Firstly, almost the whole of the now infamous #porkgang was there. Where there is #porkgang, there is sure to be endless craziness. No difference at Astro B.yond Bloggers Night.
When we reached Modesto’s in Desa Sri Hartamas, it was already bustling with people. To be honest, I was mostly nervous about the premier of the promo video that I shot with Red Mummy, Huai Bin, KY, ST, CL, Beautiful Nara, Budiey, Nurul, SaiMatKong & Tziaa. I believe I had the most NG (no-good) takes during the shot and I spoke like a complete buffoon. It’s also universal knowledge that I’m not camera-genic (therefore making me prettier in real life /clears throat) and I was crazy worried that I would look like a blob with bad English.
Anywayyyyyyy…back to the event :)
The theme of the night was new year resolutions. Everyone wrote down their resolutions on boards provided at the party entrance.
#1 – Your 2010 resolution is….
As the night progressed, more funny & outrageous resolutions were written on the board. But the one common resolution that dominated the boards was of course winning the 32″ LCD TV with a year’s free subscription to Astro B.yond.
#2 – So many people!
They were serving pizza slices as appetizer but being the #porkgang we didn’t rest till the waiting staff brought us two full-size pizzas, hahaha.
#3 – Hungry ghosts!
Before I continue, some of you are probably wondering what on earth is Astro B.yond. It is a multi-phased service beginning with the first ever High-Definition (HD) broadcast in Malaysia. In later stages, under the Astro B.yond umbrella, you’ll start to see awesomesauce services like Digital Video Recording (DVR), Video on Demand (VOD) and IPTV connectivity, all created to enhance your television watching experience.
Yes, I’m very excited to install Astro B.yond at my new house!
#4 – Astro B.yond – the future of entertainment!
The first Astro B.yond commercial shot entirely in HD was unveiled and omfg it was breathtaking. Everyone demanded they they replay the video and it was still gobsmackingly impressive. The clarity and the amazing sound, you got to watch it to believe it. Or you could watch it here.
#5 – The first Astro B.yond tvc.
And then /drumroll…it was the unveilling of our promo video! The very first time I appeared on tv, I was 17 years old. It was for a cyberstalking segment on 3R. I remember how horrified I was watching myself on national tv completely devoid of makeup. So yes, while I was very excited to see myself on tv again, I sort of dreaded it. What if I looked like Charlie’s processed meals?

Turned out I was just as horrified as when I was 17, hahaha. I was so shocked I couldn’t look at myself anymore, which explains why my mug was cut off halfway through the video hehehe. Learn to sew. Who on earth makes learning how to sew an effing new year resolution? I mean no offence to people who sew and not that I want to learn sewing any lesser but omg, learn to sew?? I am so tragic can -_- I have a new resolution: Get rid of eyebags and develop a charisma.
Though I must say, I look much better pixelated on youtube hahah so I’m just going to stick to watching myself on youtube and laughing at other people on HD!
Oops I digressed, so what’s a party without camwhoring?

#9 – With God & Horng. God flexing his muscles but looked like he’s molesting me instead.
#10 – With Haze (the one who is fat up there).
And then it was time for a game to win the most awaited prize of 32″ LCD TV with 1 year of Astro B.yond subscription! There were 5 teams, 2 of which were made up of #porkgang members. We’re supposed to find a fictitious murderer in the house.
We went effing crazy cause we were so happy! :) We all tumpang-ed glamour and conteng-ed on his winner board till kingdom comes over and over again.
