Don’t act like I’m your lifelong’s answer to a great friendship than bite me in the fucking ass or guilt trip me into submission to achieve your stupid goals. Don’t make snide or insensitive remarks about me then laugh it off like it’s just a funny joke when it’s just you trying to pacify your own insecurities. One day, I received a call from the bank asking about a cheque that was being banked into a non-existent account. At that very moment, I realised I had mistakenly written the wrong bank account numbers on the envelope. So, I apologised profusely and asked about how to go about rectifying the mistake. The person over the phone told me to head to the branch where I had earlier tried to bank in the cheque.

To be honest, I thought it was very efficient of them to have called me to inform me of the problem and I thought it’s only fair to go to the bank to fix a problem which was caused by me. A day later, I went to the bank and that was when my nightmare began…

First of all, nobody knew which department was handling my kind of problem. I was practically bouncing from one counter to another. Seriously, it was very frustrating to wait such a long time only to be told, “Sorry mam, you have to go to XX counter for this”. In the end, I finally found out that the department I was supposed to go to was not even on the right floor!

I had to climb up two flights of stairs and what greeted me was this ugly, sterile looking office with a locked door and a square hole in the wall, not unlike your neighbourhood polyclinic in the 70s -_-. The reason why there’s a hole in the wall? It’s so that you can speak with someone through the hole, that is if someone was willing to move his or her fat ass from the office chairs and walk towards the hole to speak to you!

Seriously I was standing right at the hole, if I could stick my head through it, I would but a glass stopped me from doing so. I knocked on the glass (because there was no bell or anything to catch their attention) and a few of the staff looked up to see where the sound came from, only to look away as soon as they spotted me!

First, you couldn’t even tell me the right department to go to, now that I was at the right department none of you even had the decency to attend to me?? All this crap because I mistakenly wrote the wrong bank account numbers on your stupid tedious envelope?

Finally, someone did walk towards me and asked me what’s my business there. I explained to him my situation but all I got was a blank face. And the phrase that came out from his mouth next was appalling but yet unsurprising to me, “I don’t know who’s handling your case”. And then there was silence.

Seriously, what kind of customer service is this? I can’t even begin to fathom the level of stupidity that these people possess. And guess what? I’m the one that had entrusted them with my money, my life savings! Guess the stupid one is me, huh.

Anyway, back to my predicament. Turned out the person who was supposedly handling (and I’m using the word “handling” here with very little conviction because the people cannot confirm if it was really him) my case was out for a “tea break” and I decided to just come back another day. And I did and guess what? He’s still on that “tea break” it seemed.

This time around, I demanded that someone attended to my case regardless of who was handling it. I told them that this was unacceptable. Long story short, I never really got to meet the person handling my case but I received a call later on asking me to go back to the bank again, to a specific counter, to speak to a specific person.

I straightaway said “no”, lets settle it over the phone right here, right now. I told the person my correct bank account number and requested that he bank in the cheque ASAP using the account numbers I had just given him. He was hesitant. And then I asked him, what was so difficult about it as if they could verify the bank account number and if the name matched the one on the cheque, there’s nothing to worry about right? He gave out a hesitant “yes”.

So after two weeks of headache, my cheque was finally banked in and seriously, from then on I do not ever want to deal with people from that bank ever again. Seriously, I wonder whether can banking be better?

What a stressful day for me. Oh well, aren’t all jobs stressful what’s so different from mine or yours? Just want to say how come such terribly incompetent people are capable of securing jobs. They should all be fired and their salaries given to deserving people. It’s better anyway cause the capable people won’t have to waste more time cleaning up the mess created by these idiots.

JGM 7620 is an effing retard!

Not only did she not leave a note with her number, she probably thought she had done me a favour by giving me a 4 feet gap to come out. Stupid brainless bitch.

I toyed with the idea of smashing all her windows but then a bystander told me to just call the cops, which I did.

Long story short, bf took me to work in the end albeit 15 minutes late. When I was at work, bf called me to tell me that cops had arrived at the scene. I had a conversation with one of the cops and he told me it’s a hard case for them because I was supposedly in the wrong too, for parking on the road shoulder and should they tow her car etc, it might backfire on me if she counter reported or something retarded like that. I asked the cop how much would my summon be, and he replied that it would cost me the grand sum of RM70. I told him blatantly that I’m willing to pay that just to get the bitch’s car towed.

In the end, he said he will settle it for me so I really don’t know what happened after. The whole day I was fantasising about how to wreck her car if it’s still there by the time I get home from work. In fact, a friend direct messaged me on Twitter with the suggestion, “IF that car’s still there, break some raw eggs on it. When the sun comes up, the eggs will set. Can’t wash it off. Seriously, it works”.

Alas, it was gone when I reached home. But now another Kelisa is parked right in the same spot -__- WTF is wrong with these people man??? Luckily, due to its small size, I’d be able to maneuver my car out. I’m so glad I’m moving to a different area soon because this place is beginning to be infested with inconsiderate, retarded assholes.

We’re doing the final inspection of the new place tomorrow morning and then we should be getting the keys. Gawd I can’t wait to move out!!

Long story cut short, we found this double storey terrace house near where we’re living right now and instantly fell in love with it. Told the agent we’re taking it. Told her we’re going to get the house valued by the bank and then come back with our offer price. Which we promptly did. Bank came back with the price that is about RM40K lower than what owner has listed. So after about a week of negotiations, we got the price down to our ideal…which is about 16K more than the bank’s actual valuation. We didn’t mind paying the extra, it’s a business after all and we really wanted the house.

So we got to arranging for our mortgage and after nearly 2 weeks, nothing has happened yet. Apparently, the owner has refused to handover the title to the bank for processing. Why?

Apparently, a different property agent has told him that she could sell his house for RM20K more thank his initial listed price!!! And to our horror, this greedy asshole of a house owner believes that his un-renovated, 15 year old, dirty house is worth RM60K more than what the banks have valued. So he refuses to sell it to us. Okay, so he’s greedy and stupid. What can we do? We can do nothing. Except for looking at different houses, which will be his loss eventually. Good luck selling your house dumbass.

What I’m really angry about is how what these agents appear to be doing, they are essentially spoiling the market for both buyers and sellers.

By seemingly jacking up house prices in order to make more money when there are ample buyers out there who would willingly part with their money for a reasonable above average market price. I am extremely pissed off by this and to whichever property agent that is reading this and is trying to pull a fast one, FUCK YOU.

Anyway, we eventually found out that the agents who in my opinion have been speculating with the market is these bunch of agents from this agency called J A Valley Properties. Their names are Judy Chong, Steven Chong and their daughter, Jesse Lee. If you’re looking to buy properties in Petaling Jaya, beware. It seems their modus operandi is to find out the owners of the properties, contact them and then promise to sell their properties at a much inflated price. Then they’ll get their colleagues from the same agency to do the same and before you know it, the owner is totally convinced that they have underpriced their properties. Mind you from what I’ve heard, these people don’t even physically value the properties or see pictures before conveniently stating the price. And who get screwed? Uninformed owners (and of course, greedy ones) and sincere property buyers like you and I.

I’ve actually contacted them way before this to view some houses they have listed on http://www.iproperty.com. But we eventually decided to stay away from them because I found that they tend to offer their properties around RM50K more than the market value or other property agents. They seem really damn shifty as well and keep shoving down your throats properties that are way beyond our budgets. Like wtf, stop wasting my time. Very persistent and annoying as well and doesn’t understand the meaning of “It’s beyond my budget”.

Here are a couple of house buying tips:

1. Drive around the neighbourhood you want and just browse for houses row by row, street by street. From our experience, calling agents up are frustrating. Of course, that said, there are professional & good ones out there, we’ve met a few. So good luck.

2. Always have the banks value the property before making a price offer. With the bank’s valuation, you have a solid benchmark for making an offer.

3. Check out Judy Chong, Steven Chong Lee and their daughter (whose name I can’t remember Jesse Lee) of J A Valley and learn what kind of property agents you should watch out for from them.

4. Research, research and research. Don’t ever be an un-informed buyer.

So, yeah we’re still looking albeit frustratingly. I hope we’ll find our dream home soon cause I’m itching to decorate.

p/s: Just because of a few rotten eggs does not mean that J A Valley Properties is an unreliable agency.

6. people with fake accent who revert back to their neutral voice when they get caught off guard by my questions (refer no.1)
7. people who namedrop profusely
8. people who try to flatter me for favours. i’m sorry, a hundred thousand praises will never be able to top a 15 minute display of professionalism.
