Hehe you all guessed wrong!

May 4th, 2008 Kimberlycun Posted in Retail Therapy 13 Comments » 283 views

Hehe you’ve all guessed it wrong. I don’t need a printer, I’ve got one already! I don’t need a pda, my Nokia N82 is serving me amazingly well.

Actually, I got a massive notebook pc from Compaq HP :D

17″ of visual pleasure, baby. Since I’ve got an ultra portable notebook in the form of Asus EeePC, I figured that I’d need an upgrade from my Lenovo N100. All this “figuring out” happened within 1/2 hour. My original agenda was just to get an optical mouse and an 8gig SD card but I came across this beauty that is Compaq Presario A900 at a very affordable price (in the lower range of RM2000).

It’s so massive it’s even got its on numerical keyboard. I.VERY.LIKE. I wanted something I could use comfortably at home but yet still portable and this laptop is perfect. Since I picked up photography, I’ve been doing a lot of editing on Photoshop too, so the 17″ screen is perfect.

Compaq Presario A900.
Look ma, I’m digging me own nose!

There was some drama installing the OS too. I wasn’t keen on using Vista, so I decided to get the laptop without the OS so I could install XP at home. Okay, not me lah…the g33k that is my bf lah. After 8 hours, he still couldn’t get it installed, the damn thing just kept restarting itself. As for me, I got more panic by the second. We decided to catch a breather and escaped to McDonald’s at 3am. While eating we discussed the alternative options. Keep trying with XP or give up and use Vista?

Eventually, I was like okay, maybe it’s not really THAT bad, so lets just use Vista. Munching half way through my fillet o fish, my bf dropped the bomb.

“Yeah, it’s gonna use up 2gig of your memory just doing nothing”.

“What? You mean the vista?”

“Yeah”, continue munching on his quarter pounder nonchalantly.

I burst out crying. “So I just upgraded the ram to 3gig so that Vista can take up 2gig of if!?”. Sniff.

“Yeah”.

I was whimpering at this point. And the bf, he just laughed like an evil clown.

He’s so mean right?

So we went home and he tried to install XP for the final time. For some reason he decided to take out the new ram and voila, it worked! So for 8 hours we were dragged to a dead end by some faulty ram -_-.

Damn happy now. Hehehe but still have to go back to exchange the ram. But at least my gigantor laptop did not turn into an oversize brick!

/UPDATE/

We just stuck the 2gig ram back into gigantor and it’s working like a dream :D 3gig of memory to play with…come to momma photoshop actions…….w00t

Your 5 minutes of life is better spent watching my video.

April 2nd, 2008 Kimberlycun Posted in Retail Therapy, Routine 25 Comments » 48 views

I found the latest Gisele Bundchen ipanemas at 1 Utama and bought two pairs! I’m playing smart now, I figure by the time I wear out the 2nd pair, the new designs would have come out and so I wouldn’t need to search for them like a mad woman anymore. They’re the most comfortable and durable footwear I’ve ever worn!!

My babies :)

The electricity suddenly got cut off today. Went to Secret Recipe to work from 11am to 4.30pm. They didn’t have wifi, so thank goodness for 3G. I brought my phone charger too so that the phone won’t die one me half way.

Lunch
Lunch.

After work…I dropped by the neighbourhood stationary shop to get these tubes of magic. Currently, my favourite thing to play.

Plastic Bubble.
Once pop, you can’t stop.

Eh, they are not edible. In fact I’ve made a video of how to use them.

Check it out, it’s more than 5 minutes of goodness and it’s SAFE FOR WORK!

Did you watch from the start till the end?

The honeymoon’s over.

March 24th, 2008 Kimberlycun Posted in Random Musing, Retail Therapy 11 Comments » 18 views

The honeymoon’s over. Work is popping up everywhere. 3 events in 2 days. More next month. It’s f-king awesome.

And it sure is great when the company of your favourite product approaches your for service too. I’m not revealing much but all I can say is, I’ll probably gain a lot of weight from it, LMAO.

I went thrift shopping with my boo’s mom. We got the same dress, size 14 for her and size 6 for me. RM39.90 for two! Hehehehe.

Here’s me posing in the dress with my ladybird jude bag gotten at a steal from the flea bazaar at The Curve. It’s only RM15.

Mind you it was 3am and I was in the midst of work. Repeat after me, camwhoring with fresh shopping loot is de-stressing.

I’ve got quite a lot to post really but I need some time to gather me thoughts. My mind is everywhere!

More shoes for less, hahaha.

What’s the best thing to do on a lazy Saturday?

Have breakfast in Kanna at 3pm!

Only then I remembered that I had freshly manicured nails that I couldn’t bear to taint with Indian spices.

Manicure and Kanna don't go together.
Eating banana leaf rice with fork & spoon takes away half the fun, okay?

Then we went to 1U like we always do when we don’t have anything interesting or fun to do on the weekends. We browsed in Reject Shop, looking for some good deals.

Camwhoring in the fitting room.
Camwhoring while the boo tried on some clothes.

And then I caught someone by surprise.

Surprised.
That’s the best surprised face I could illustrate.

A friend has told us about Marks & Spencer’s moving away sale. So we decided to take a look. They were moving their current outlet in the old wing to the new wing. I was surprised that everything…and absolutely everything was down by 50%! OMG…..it was stim!

I got two pairs of shoes that would have cost me about RM600 for about RM180! They’re so comfortable :)~~

First, my brown suede court shoes.

Suede court shoes
With some high tech insole to ensure comfort.

Another look.
Yeah I’m putting this up cause I like how my legs look

And my leather boots! Absolutely yummy..

Black leather boots.
Black leather boots ftw.

I just love the feeling of getting a good deal. It’s like a buzz. I get a buzz for the longest time whenever I score something for much less that I’m supposed to pay. Lets just say I don’t believe in paying full retail price.

But I have to say what tops the feeling of getting a good deal is seeing the stuff you’ve just bought being sold at another place for a couple of times the price! It’s happened to me before, I got a very beautiful satin dress in Armcorp Mall for RM50 and then I saw the very same dress being sold in Bangsar for RM250. All these markups are crazy.

I thought I’d kick the habit of thrift shopping once I start work, but I guess it’ll never go away. It just feels too good.

Ah Saint is only seven!

March 4th, 2008 Kimberlycun Posted in Picture Galore, Retail Therapy 17 Comments » 26 views

Last Friday was Saint’s 7th birthday. Yes, in spite of being happily married and having a 1 year plus old son, she’s only 7 this year. Some women have all the luck eh. I want to be young like that also -_-

So ThaiBoxingirl and I were bored out of our minds at home while counting the hours to attend the most exciting thing of the week, Saint’s birthday. While talking nonsense on MSN, the TBG suggested that we go shopping for party clothes.

And that we would stick to the budget of RM200. And that we would wear our best bag lady garb to shop. Awesome!

We met at The Curve at 12pm and then the journey began. I was pretty lucky, it didn’t take long for me to find the dress from a clearance sale right outside Metrojaya. There wasn’t even a fitting room for customers.

TBG
TBG at Sakae!

I hate to buy clothes where there’s no fitting room or when the clothes are not allowed to be tried on. I remember going to some shop in Berjaya Times Square and they won’t allow me to try the t-shirts. It’s like, good luck selling anything dumbass. Anyway…..yeah, I just put on the dress there and there….what to do. Since it fit me even an extra layer of clothes, I bought it.

And then I had my manicure and pedicure done. Watched the entire Nanny Diaries there. Scarlett Johansen is too hot for words. The manicurist was a bit of a n00b, while she was snipping off my cuticles she managed to cut my flesh -_-. I bled lah urgh. I think it’s because she talks too much. She wasn’t very bright either and it was quite a pain trying to keep up a conversation with her. You pay what you get eh?

Don’t think I’ll go back there. First she’s quite lazy, she refused to work on TBG claiming she’s the only person working. Ok fine. But when she was almost done with me right, a customer walked in and she refused to attend to her also. She told the lady that she’s got another customer to work on (ie: TBG) which was a lie. Then, she talked to the foreign helper like she’s above her or something. Wah I can just rip her face off okay.

Cupcakes.
We rested and had cupcakes. I love these cupcakes from Cupcake Chic although they’re a bit pricey but they’re heavenly!

Okay after that, we went to Padini Store at Ikano. And got major drama there, where I’ll leave TBG to tell the story because it’s her story hehehe (Oooh, she’s updated about the drama. Go read..quick quick!). After that, we got back to The Curve and I got me pair of black sequinned heels from Key Ng. One of my best buys in shoe shopping history!

TriBeCa.
Me entertaining myself at TriBeCa while TBG tried on some clothes.

Then went to Fitness First to freshen up and doll up!!! This is what your gym is for, hahaha.

Shopping loot.
Dress = RM 48. Shoes = RM39.90 (YESSS!) and mani/pedi= RM60. Total = RM147.90.

I am so proud of myself okay!

Shopped from 12pm to 9pm….then one hour to doll up and then we headed to Laundy Bar where the party was. I was already tired, LMAO.

Birthday Girl.
Birthday Saint and God.

KY and Nicholas.

Shoe brigade: Carol’s skull shoe, KY’s selipar and my RM39.90 very comfortable sequined heels. This KY wore selipar to Laundry wtf

Happy birthday Ah Saint!

Annoying.

October 29th, 2007 Kimberlycun Posted in Retail Therapy 14 Comments » 17 views

What’s annoying is that I spent RM200 on a gorgeous pair of metallic gold shoes and they pinched and ate into my poor feet like a disease. Hurt so fucking bad. Poor feet…

I should have known when she said they were exclusively designed here but made in China. The operative word here is, “China”.

God, I’m such a sucker sometimes.

I’ve never worn a single pair of disposable Vincci that fucked up my feet. Not even the sky high stilettos. Boo said that’s because I have a pair of generic feet and they have to make do with generic shoes. I know….he thinks he’s so subtle, right?

But my feet was hurting so bad I could barely move, let alone throw a punch.

I guess it’s back to disposable footwear for me. Damn…
