Coins
This.

Getting RM6 change in 10 cent coins. NICE!

I had to scoop the damn coins into my bag, not before I took a blur picture of it of course. Dude behind me was giggling. Before I left the autopay machine in, he said “Wow, you’ve got a lot of coins now”.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious, mister.

More coins.
When are they banning coins?

I’m hitting 24 in a couple of months. I’m no longer the spring chicken I used to be, where my skin was fine and my metabolic rate was to die for. I’m still eating like I used to (perhaps even more), but I’m finding it amazingly tough to shed the flab.

With age, I’ve developed a sort of deluded confidence about my appearance. While I’ve never felt happier with my looks, the truth is I’ve never been this out of shape. Two flights of stairs could render me breathless :(

I used to go to gym a couple of times a week, sometimes even twice a day. I used the power stepper religiously….my bum, thighs and calves were rock solid. My belly was flat. I could don the bikini and not feel out of place. However, nowadays, my bikinis have been relegated to the bottom of the drawer and my trusty old Speedo has become my new best friend. It supports and covers all the awkward areas, you see.

Then & Now
Then & Now :(

My gawd, I’ve seen mothers of five in better shape than I am! Heck, my own mother is in better shape than me. I’m sure many of you who have met my Mom would attest to that :P

Mom is hotter than me!
Yeah, the hotter one is my Mom -_-

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to get myself to look like a model. What I’m aiming for really is good health, stamina and strength. The thing is, it’s so hard to jump start my gym routine because I’m feeling so sluggish and bloated (that’s why it’s never a good thing to take a break from working out for too long, once you get to my point, it’s really difficult to return to your old routine).

I have meant to go on a liquid/white meat diet with vitamin supplements to slowly reboot my body before I trailblaze back to the neighbourhood gym but darlings, it’s really easier said than done. Everytime a work issue crops up, I find myself reaching for the nearest pack of salt & vinegar crisps. As the cliche goes, it’s a vicious cycle!

So, the reason I’m writing this is because I’ve been approached by friendly folks from Juvanex to review their 7-Day Detox Programme. Kudos to them for great timing.

Juvanex
Juvanex - 7-Day Detox Programme.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s now or never. A visit to their website shows that I’m in desperate need of a detox….

Detox Test
Oh crap!

I’m going to start my Detox from today onwards and it will end on 19th May 2008. I will follow their suggested menu (minus the rice/carbs on my prerogative). I’ll try to slip in some exercise during this period but I figure I’d be too lethargic to do so, which is normal during detoxification.

So stay tuned as I’ll be updating you with my progress in this blog and hopefully I’ll look much better in 7 days.

Who knows, I might even be game enough to do a bikini photoshoot at the end of the week just to show off!

I popped me wrist!

May 6th, 2008 Kimberlycun Posted in Picture Galore, Routine 15 Comments » 333 views

This is really an overdue post. I’ve been wanting to write about this for so long as it’s such an interesting experience for me, and a good one too!

A few months back, my right wrist was suffering from a dull nagging pain that just won’t go away. I think it was due to the awkward position I was sitting in while working on the laptop, as I was too cheap to get a proper office chair then (just started business mah :P).

You know those annoying pain from the inside that you can’t really treat except to wait for it to pass? Thing is most of the time, you really have no freakin’ idea when it’s going to pass and it’s not bad enough to pop painkillers.

I was recommended to go to Osso Bone Care by a friend. It’s located in Kuchai Entreprenuers Park, not too far from Mid Valley. I was quite apprehensive about seeking treatment from traditional medicine practitioners as frankly, the very idea just freaked me out. Anyway, my friend highly recommended it and she promised that I would be satisfied with the outcome.

I went there in the evening and was surprised to find that it’s a modern looking joint. None of those dingy nonsense you would find in town. The place was really clean and furnished with modern equipment I wouldn’t expect to find in a traditional medicine clinic.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness.Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

Got myself registered and then I was ushered into a room.

Registering.
Young, pretty nurse doing the registration :D

The Sinseh, who is a young chap by the name of Calvin attended to me. Although my problem was the wrist, Calvin offered to “loosen” up my spine which, as scary as it sounded, brought great relief to my stiff back.

Fixing the neck.Twist it back in place.

Loosening the spine.Manhandled.

It’s quite daunting having my vertebrates snapped but man, after it’s over I felt like I just had a 2-hour Thai massage!

After the great back work, Calvin took me to another room to treat my aching wrist.

Here’s a video of me receiving treatment. You can hear me speaking in Cantonese (I sounded so weird!).

Apparently my condition was caused by floor mopping, when I was twisting the water out of the mop. It’s quite common among women according to Calvin. He meticulously twisted my wrist and then proceeded to apply some chinese herbs to my wrist, which I had to wear for 48 hours. It smelt really weird but strangely soothing.

Calvin said that many people do not realise that their bone structures have been altered due to their adopted lifestyles. Minor things such as wearing the wrong shoes or sitting a certain way could affect your posture and health of your bones. You probably won’t realise it when you’re young but as you age, more symptoms would emerge such as aches, pains and inflammations. In my case, I had minor dislocations in my arm and wrist due to desk work and house chores. First visit to Osso Bone Care is only RM60/80 depending on which part of the body and subsequent visits are RM50/60 each, which I think are pretty reasonable.

Miraculously, after 48 hours, my wrist felt like its old self again. While I’m still a skeptic when it comes to traditional medicine but I have to say, for things like long term bone care, I would definitely seek treatment from traditional medicine pratitioners because they’re non invasive and from my experience, very effective too.

I have an event tomorrow, football related. Going to be loads and loads of fun. I even got a little football goal and baby footballs for some mini contests tomorrow.

Trying to draft some emcee script with my crap knowledge in football. Help anyone?

Anyway, I thought I was not going to blog but well, girl needs to de-stress a little.

I just splurged RM600 on a Canon all-in-one. OMG I’m in love, I can’t stop scanning documents…..

Canon Pixma MX318

A printer now, maybe an office soon? :D

Oh yes about my blog title. Damn it I thought I almost lost a big toe.

I was just moving back and forth with my office chair and then suddenly I felt an intense pain around my big toe.

I looked down…and CRAP.

Stuck big toe.

My right big toe was stuck between the two wheels of a roller! MOFO it was damn painful.

So I tried to yank my toe out but it was stuck. And I panicked for a moment.

“SHIT I CAN’T WORK WITH 9 TOES TOMORROW!”? Then I started to whimper by myself (no tears yet) and then an idea struck me.

I lifted up the bloody chair and voila, my toe popped out…albeit a little sore.

I still have 10 toes thank you very much. And I think I’m gonna go put on a pair of socks :P

Had an important meeting with a potential client yesterday. I was prepared, done my research, covered all my bases. Made my way to the office, thought I was going to get lost in the industrial area but it was surprisingly breezy to get there. The office is very nice, I hope I’ll have a nice office like that soon.

Parked my car and walked to the mezzanine area. Pushed open the glass door. It won’t budge. Kept pushing. GrnggggGrnngggGrnnng. Lady at the reception was waving at me frantically. Then it hit me. Oh!

I pulled the door handle me and got in. (Grins sheepishly)

Apologised to the lady about the door episode and asked for the person I was meeting. Was asked to go up to 3rd floor. So I went to catch the lift. Waited a bit and finally got in. I was alone.

Lift doors opened and I stepped out. All glass panels. Locked. Hurmmmmm.

Fortunately a woman was coming out of the office, told her about my meeting and she let me in. She asked me to wait in the conference room while she get the person I was meeting with, W.

5 minutes passed. Then 10 minutes. I was fiddling with my phone. Checking comments, reading emails and facebooking. Suddenly this woman, huffing and puffing came into my room.

“There you are!”.

I thought she was W. And then she was like no, “I’m not W, I’m just here looking for you!”.

I went “Huh?”. “Meeting’s at the 3rd floor”, said she.

“Isn’t this 3rd floor???”, I asked. “No, this is the first”.

“But, but…I pressed 3″.

“Heh, this is the first floor”.

(wtfwtfwtfwtf)

She took me up the ACTUAL 3rd floor and I finally met up with W. Had a laugh over it.

Gawd help me please not to commit faux pas like that in my next meeting!!!!

I found the latest Gisele Bundchen ipanemas at 1 Utama and bought two pairs! I’m playing smart now, I figure by the time I wear out the 2nd pair, the new designs would have come out and so I wouldn’t need to search for them like a mad woman anymore. They’re the most comfortable and durable footwear I’ve ever worn!!

My babies :)

The electricity suddenly got cut off today. Went to Secret Recipe to work from 11am to 4.30pm. They didn’t have wifi, so thank goodness for 3G. I brought my phone charger too so that the phone won’t die one me half way.

Lunch

After work…I dropped by the neighbourhood stationary shop to get these tubes of magic. Currently, my favourite thing to play.

Plastic Bubble.
Once pop, you can’t stop.

Eh, they are not edible. In fact I’ve made a video of how to use them.

Check it out, it’s more than 5 minutes of goodness and it’s SAFE FOR WORK!

Did you watch from the start till the end?

I’m not having blogger’s block.

It’s just all my pictures and a video are stuck in my camera. I’ve left the cable at my bf’s and I’m now at my parents’ home.

I can’t wait to post this video of me eating an oyster.

I’m using one of the most popular mobile phones in the world according to TIME Style & Design. In Mexico City, I would have been an A-lister…..hola!

Nokia N95 - most popular around the world.
Nokia N95 - prefered in Mexico City.

But who can beat the neo-rich of Moscow? These people keep it real with Goldvish Like Heaven, a USD$171,287 18-karat yellow gold phone encrusted with 12 carats of diamonds.

Goldvish Like Heaven.
All you need now is some mink fur coat and a bottle of vodka to blend in.

I’ve got new lashes. Better than the last, implanted strand by strand…looks as if I was born with them

Batting them lashes.

I’m incredibly tempted to get a Miniature Schnauzer. I met the most well-trained, friendly and cutest puppy today and I’m in love.

Biscuit and I traded saliva and I enjoyed it.
