Ask me for a good reason to wake up really early on a Sunday morning and I’ll tell you to go for bak kut teh breakfast in Klang. Yes, I did exactly that with the rest of the Low clan. The journey to Klang was punctuated with yawns and whines as Brother One was out yumchar with friends till 2am, Brother Two was killing his brain cells with the TV till 3am and I had a sudden eczema attack at 4am. In a nutshell, I was scratching my thighs, back, neck, face and arms till about 6 in the morning, at which point I passed out from sheer exhaustion. Mom promptly banged my door at 8.30am and I’m not lying when I say that every stroke of toothbrush was powered by the visual of succulent, juicy ribs.
Breakfast was a blast, except for the unimaginably horrid stench coming from a nearby rubber processing plant. My gag-reflex definitely had a plentiful practice, considering that the morning was especially breezy.
Cam ho.
Bak Kut Teh. Oooh la la…
Braised pork. This should be made illegal.
Herbal eggs. Wonderful!
Then on our way to my uncle’s place, we detoured to Subang Airport for some good sale. I got a CK dress for RM39.90 and it’s authentic. Oh my gawd, I couldn’t believe my luck. The great bargain just totally completed my day, man.

chef: i think loads of bkt around KL claim they’re authentic Klang bkt but gawd knows how true. I have a favourite in KL, at Jln Raja Laut. The place’s called Mungo Jerry. different from Klang’s but equally delicious.
aw: err…sorry ah I forgot to jot down the place’s name. But it’s nearby the Royal Klang Club and yeah the stinkyass rubber processing plant….
vader: no wor…good?
aeric: of course not! lol
diehard: just go to Klang and pick a restaurant at random
