Damn bored, don’t know what to blog about. School sucks. So many datelines. I hate drafting questionaire, so tedious!
Going to just paste some 100+ word thing I wrote for GE-Mckinsey Leadership Workshop’s Application. You think I could bullshit my way to the workshop?
The Qualities of a Leader
Individualism has never been more prominently projected than today. With people being more educated; they’re getting more in touch with what they want rather than what is want of them. In this case, a leader who leads by the “cane” just will not work anymore other than inviting conflicts. A leader today has to be respected, and in order to acquire that she has to respect her subordinates. She must be honorable and give credit where credit is due. She must exert commitment and diligence in her work as to not allow space for disrepute. She must be a source of creative ideas as well as capable of accepting others people’s. Most importantly, a leader has to be a great team player.
p/s: I’ll make a bloody damn good boss.

Depends who are your audience, always think of your audience, and think like them…..then ask ourselves, will it give profound insights….like you’ve pointed out, ppl’re more educated….so, the average bloke can goto the web and read about leadership. Since this is a workshop, will there be group activities? Cheers!

Like:
A leader must create synergy within the team and have the foresight to iterate value-added vertical channels within strategic markets.

btw…..kim…you don’t know that the DESCO Ball will take place on the same day as the HMC ball do you? assuming that the 1st yr kids have frens in HMC and that VIPs may have been courted much sooner, the turnout for DESCO might not be as good as expected….unless you invite your external contacts to “crash” the party, of cos.just fyi…
