Wow, this must go into one of my most horrible days ever. I have a deep suspicion it might be karma trying to get even with me. Who asked me to so jealous of someone’s cylindrical body and pizza-face? I deserve it.
So anyway, today I brought my laptop to college for a group project. It’s ancient and I think it weighs about half of my weight. And that’s seriously heavy. When I reached college, it was raining quite heavily but I was really fortunate to find an empty parking space near the shuttle bus at that hour. I managed to board the bus without getting drenched.
I reached my campus and headed to the library where I was supposed to meet my friends. They weren’t there, so I waited for a while. Then I checked my phone and realised I had a missed call. It was my friend. They had gone to Hartamas for lunch and asked me to meet them there. I was like, “Oh, shit”.
So I tried to call them, then I realised my phone had no credits. I was like, “Oh, shit”. So I went to the credit coupon vending machine to buy more credits. I opened my purse and there was only a few greasy RM1 notes. I went, “Oh, shit”. So I had to walk to another one of the campuses which has an ATM machine. It was raining, my left hand was carrying a heavy ass laptop, my knapsack had 3 old-school encyclopedia sized textbooks and my right hand was holding a plastic folder. It was stressful, but bearable.
When I got to the ATM machine, I remembered that the credit coupon machine does not dispense change. If you were to buy RM30 worth of credits and you inserted RM100, say goodbye to your RM70. It’s stupid like that. So I was like, “Oh, shit”. What if ATM only dispensed RM100 notes? No shit.
I tried my luck anyway, and lo and behold. It gave me 5 pieces of RM10 and the rest were all RM50. I was relieved beyond comprehension. So I walked back to my campus, in the rain, with laptop, books, folder and all. Did I say I was wearing a semi-transparent top?
As I reached the main entrance of my campus, I slipped and fell onto the ground. In the fucking rain. In my semi-transparent top. I was not even wearing heels, it’s damn Puma with studded soles for fuck’s sake. A kind lady ran to my rescue to help me up. I thanked her and quickly did a vanishing act. There were about 20 people at the entrance, okay.
After that, I managed to reload my credits (although only successful on the second try) and called my friend. I was on the verge of crying. I told her I couldn’t go to Hartamas, and I guess she noticed the change of tone in my voice. She told me they’ll come back immediately after finishing their food. I was really relieved she’s understanding.
What I got in the end: Injury to my pinky, a sore hip and a very bruised ego.
Everything’s normal after that. But yeah, karma is a bitch.

Most atm machines only despence RM50 and 10. And they have a sign saying what they despence. I have never seen one that gives out RM100. But sorry for the bad day. Hope tomorrow will be much better
admin: heh, you’re right. it’s my mistake. maybank doesn’t but alliance does dispense RM100.

And YES, it’s bloody boring in Simferopol particularly, but not in Ukraine, generally. If I were to study in Kiev I’d definitely party my ass off.
