Arrived at the National Registration Department’s office at 7am, Monday. Found a queue that was more than 40 metres long (the whole block, extended down the staircase and then another half a block), I decided there and there that RM30 late penalty was a small sum to pay than to waste 10 hours of my life.
I went to the post office this morning to get some stamps. The post office is the only one in my area and it’s housed in a small shoplot with 4 counters but as usual only half of them were opened. 112 people to go before my turn. I left with no stamps. I’d love to blame the system, but I suppose I’ve got a whole load of impatience to blame, huh?
Final exams on the 19th and 20th. I’m guessing it’s brought forward due to many complaints about it beng held during Xmas week. Should I be happy? Well, I’ve only got less than a week to study now.
I told someone I want to be a fitness instructor. Then I (yes, I) burst out laughing; I don’t know why. In that case, you might want to work on going to they gym at least once a week first, he said.

[…] It was my turn before I knew it. She typed in my IC number and double confirmed with me every data on my profile. I gave her my driving license and told her that I wanted to store it on MyKad. Instead of taking my driving license, she showed me another window which detailed the information on my driving license. Next she showed me the details of my passport. Such evidence of data integration suddenly got me really proud of my country. Oh, and I had to pay RM10 as a penalty for missing the deadline last year. No complaints there cause I thought it was RM30. I indicated where I want my MyKad to be collected and proceeded to have my picture taken. I was glad that they had a mirror installed on the camera so I could watch how I looked like. No more ugly IC picture days And that was all, only about 15 minutes of my life spent in a government office. […]
