I’m staying up again to catch America’s Next Top Model. At 4am -_-
I think I’m going nuts, it’s been ages since I’d stay up late for TV, since SATC. Boy, I miss SATC 
My Mom’s been bugging me forever to write to “someone big” to complain about Astro. She’s like “CC Jeff Ooi, CC Jeff Ooi”. And I’d go, “Mommmm, but it’s just an Astro magazine!”.
So here is how it is, since mid-last year, Astro magazines have not been delivered promptly. It was bearable at first, but by January, things took a turn for the worst. We didn’t even see January’s edition at all. So I asked Mom to keep track of all the calls, names and times, which she didn’t do a very good job of, naturally.
All the information are apparently stored in her head. Whenever she sees me on the computer desk, she would sit next to me and start complaining about her Astro magazine. Thing is, she wouldn’t stop about “cc Jeff Ooi”, which is a tad annoying. I’d try to assure her that I’ll write to the appropriate party, provided she has a record of everything of course. Then her eyes would brighten up and she would start talking about the calls she made to Astro’s Customer Service. Suddenly, she would stop and ask me point blank, “Aren’t you typing this?”. And I’d be dumbfucked, for lack of better words.
Yes, Mommy expects me to churn out a kickass complaint letter at the speed of speech. Anyway, I wasn’t really concerned with Mom’s obssession with her Astro magazine till well, 15 minutes ago. I realised I’m staying up till 4am almost everyday hoping to catch America’s Next Top Model because I don’t have the bloody magazine to refer to! Beats me how such a simple reason escaped me.
So now, I’m pissed. I’m pissed with Astro. What on earth are you doing with our Astro magazines?
In a nutshell, my Mom called you guys on February 16 at 10.10pm. The call only got through at 11.35pm. One of you guys told my Mom that the magazine will be hand-delivered. Oh, and you also asked my Mom whether our bills arrived punctually, to which my Mom retorted with a firm, “Yes, on the dot”. And by the way, your hand-delivered magazine arrived at our doorstep on February 27th. Thanks for letting us have a tv guide for 1 day. G….reat job!
What about this month? We still haven’t bloody seen the magazine yet. Care to explain? Hey, it’s 24th of March and I’m half-expecting to see it next Monday, which falls on 27th March. Now, that’s really a MONTHLY magazine, no doubt.

i would think that www.astro.com.my would be an easier option than staying up every night. i am assuming that you do have an internet connection…? : )

Wah, even Auntie Cun knows Jeff Ooi. Delivery was screwed up a few months back, but things seem to be better now, at least around my area.

Either the employees is too dumbfucked to do their job properly after all the catching of The America’s Top Model every week at 4am, or they are just plain plain plain inefficient in their work.

Hah. It’s been ages since I flipped open the program guide and the other day, I was trying to look for the repeat of America’s Next Top Model but bugger, they don’t put up the schedule for Channel [V] and MTV anymore. I was like “Wtf?”. So I calculated the amount of space they could save and “wow”, it’s alot if you consider how many subscribers they have and bloody hell, they have the cheek to charge us the same rate still but quietly save cost through those minor minor stuffs.
admin: WTF you’re not joking? this is an atrocity, how can they just remove the channels from the mag like that?

You didn’t realise meh??? Unless I never see properly lah. There’s seriously no Channel [V] or MTV guide in the everyday schedule the last time I opened the book. That’s why I had to like try my luck and check it from the guide on tv to see when are the repeats.

cancelled your astro subscribtions.
watch free tv, namely ntv7 & 8tv.
programmes to remember mon-fri?
8.30pm-9.30pm (ntv7).
9.30pm-10.30pm(tv8).
that’s 2 shows per day.
mon-wed only, so that’s like 6 shows.
thur-sun nothing to watch.
there problem solve, wait,
you want to watch ANTM,
its not on free Tv, …….yet.

It’s damn pathetic wanlah. They know that some people (ok, most i know) can’t live without Astro so no matter how much they complain, they’d still subscribe to it even if they know it’s not really worth it. Ppl like my family!
That’s what you get when you established your brand and brainwashed it into ppl’s mind adi that “Ours is better than the rest out there”. Competitors are well, in my opinion…not anywhere close to Astro’s level of achievement yet (I think).
admin: know what u mean, when MiTV announced its inception, i was trying so hard to convince my family to dump Astro. i think they were convinced….till MiTV announced its list of channels. My parents were like, “no way”.

I did not receive my asstro magazine since last december and I am still charged 3.95 per copy. I called them on January and they promised they would deliver my copies on time but it’s almost April and I have yet to see any thing in my mail box.

and they keep trying to charge my family for stuff we didn’t subscribe to, till one day my mom got so impatient she made her own balance sheet and showed the woman there what they were screwing up.
