Apparently, as a moNSTerblogger…
You’re stupid. You’re being used. You’re getting exploited. You’re scammed.
Sounds like we’re one word short of being called Retards?
Oh, well…we’re the ones with the comfortable jobs anyway. And I do wonder why?
Don’t you wonder?

People do things for many reasons. Likewise, we Monsterbloggers do it for our own respective agendas. The bottomline is we enjoy doing it. If not, we wound not be doing it week after week for so many months now. Everything is NOT about money. For me, blogging is a means of expression and a tool for advocacy. As long as I get the message through, I am happy. Call me stupid but I do a lot of things for free, not because I am gullible but because I believe that what I do can change society a little and that is my contribution.

Kim, definitely, as long as our conscience is clear. ST, you left out the being exploited part. The first time someone said something like that to me, I was annoyed. Now, I just do not care anymore.

hmmm. it’s just that she does have a point (esp about the market - though there’s always the argument about finding new ways to compete when the market changes). granted, you guys getting together and having an additional platform to your own blog is good for whatever agenda you guys have.
but it would seem, so far, from the nst/jaring point of view, you guys are being somewhat exploited as compared to regular writers - have they offered you guys most of the things that were proposed (and even then, by paul / suan, and not the company, far as i realise)? last i kept track of this, more traffic was sent from your blogs over to monsterblog rather than the other way round.
that being said, mb additional perceived authority from being an nst blogger would get you more publicity from, say, photoshoots in newspapers etc, and more exposure can only be good for blogs. again, this would by proxy benefit monsterblog, without more tangible benefit going to you.
i would say it’s kinda symbiotic, but imbalanced since mostly you guys seem to benefit them a lot more. oh i don’t know.
